Repute Finance Pty Ltd (ABN 83 702 137 719) (“Repute Finance”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a financial services and lending solutions provider based in Perth, Western Australia. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information we hold about you.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and otherwise handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). 2. Personal information we collect
The types of personal information we may collect include:
- your name, date of birth and contact details (including residential address, email address);
- identification documents required to verify your identity, such as driver licence or passport details;

- responding to your enquiries and providing ongoing client service;
- meeting our record-keeping, regulatory and legal obligations, including under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth);

- lenders, credit providers and financiers, for the purpose of assessing and arranging finance;
- credit reporting bodies, in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Credit Reporting Code;
- service providers who assist us to operate our business, such as IT and hosting providers, secure data storage providers, and professional advisers (including accountants, auditors and lawyers);
- referees and third parties you have nominated or authorised;
- regulators, government agencies, tribunals or courts, where required or authorised by law; and
- any other person with your consent, or where otherwise permitted under the Australian Privacy Principles.
Some of our service providers, including cloud hosting and data storage providers, may be located outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure that recipient handles your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. Credit-related information
In connection with lending solutions, we may collect credit-related personal information about you, including information about your credit history, applications for credit and reports obtained from credit reporting bodies. We handle such information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Credit Reporting Code. Credit-related information is used only for the purposes set out in this policy and as permitted by law.
7. Security and retention of personal information
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps include secure electronic storage, access controls limited to authorised personnel, and appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
We will retain your personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable record-keeping laws (commonly up to seven years). Once no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify the information.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have a right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request corrections where that information is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.

In limited circumstances, we may refuse access where permitted by law; if so, we will provide written reasons and information about how you may complain. There is generally no charge for access requests, although a reasonable fee may apply for providing copies of documents.

We take complaints seriously and will acknowledge and investigate your complaint promptly, providing a written response within a reasonable time.
